Meetups WordCamp Croatia Overview
After a long time preparing for the WordCamp Croatia event we were finally ready for our road trip to Rijeka. This beautiful city was the host of the very first WordCamp Croatia. In support of the concept, Agilo (our sister company) designed the visual identity for the conference.
We made it to Rijeka on Friday and stayed for the whole weekend. In 3 days we attended the Conference Day, the Contributor Day and of course not forgetting the afterparty at the “River Pub”.

The Conference Day was a very well organized event day with a great list of speakers and a stunning venue at HKD Sušak near Rijeka city centre.

Domagoj Gojak presented Slicejack with a presentation called “Easy form creation and validation with Formjack”.
Formjack is an open source PHP library hosted on GitHub which helps you build and validate forms with ease. You can see Domagoj’s presentation here.

Our CEO Toni Trivković participated in a panel discussion called “Working With WordPress” with Goran Jakovljević, Petya Raykovska, Sibin Grašić, Daniel Pataki. They gave us some useful tips and tricks about WordPress and how to create business around it.

After the Conference Day we headed to a mighty afterparty at the “River Pub”. Along with gallons of beer we were networking with new friends and colleagues.

The morning after the Conference Day and afterparty, the Contributors Day at Rijeka City Hall was scheduled. Our team helped to contribute to the WordPress community. We were able to contribute to WordPress Core and WordPress Polyglots teams in order to improve the quality of WordPress.
